DISCOVERING COLORS
Each day will offer the opportunity of discovering a new color and its entire palette.
We will picnic on a sheet of the color of the day and will dress in that color for that day.
Parents will be asked to supply sack lunches matching the color of the day.(see suggestions below).
Also children will be asked to wear clothes of the color of that day also.
This will be great fun for sure.

Mornings:
We will look at the different variations of each colors, for instance for blues , we will learn about
cobalt blue, Prussian blue, Egyptian blue, etc...We will make study samples with different variations
and textures samples that will be a base for our canvas in the afternoon.
This will be a good way of learning about oil paints and how to use them.
Focus will be on color and texture and not on form nor figure.
Lunch:
Lunches will take place at Cal Anderson Park, on Pine and 11th on Capitol Hill.
Lunch break will be the opportunity for children to run around and find gifts of Nature to bring back to the studio and work on it.
In case of rain we will eat in the studio.
Afternoons:
After lunch we will focus on the canvas, and use all the ideas and experiences engaged during the lunch and morning for inspiration.
Monday: bananas, curry, lemons, yogurt, Spanish watermelon, cheddar, etc…
Tuesday: blueberries, blackberries, eggplant, plums, blue cheese, blue Kale etc…
Wednesday: salad, greens, spinach, algae, green melon, etc…
Thursday: watermelon, strawberries, tomatoes, apples. red potatoes etc…
Friday: potatoes in skin, wheat, whole rice, alomds etc...
