Fine Art Workshops & Summer Camps for Children from age 6 to 14:

Learning oil painting

Allow your children to discover the uniqueness of oil paintings at a young age with an experienced artist from Europe, on Capitol Hill, in Seattle.

For many odd reasons, oil painting seems only accessible to older or experienced artists. Discovering oil paints at an early age is empowering and develops the subtleties of perception in color, contrast, texture etc…
Time is also an important part of the process of creating. (Not going too fast).
Children often cherish the silence you find in such classes and those memories are strong and a good base to learn patience and build awareness.
They will learn how to recognize colors on the palette, observe the complexity of colors in Nature and things surrounding them, and discover the richness of perception and how we express it.

These classes are open to all between the ages of 6 to 14.
Due to the delicacy and calmness needed for this program, please do not enroll your child if he or she does not enjoy these kinds of activities.

This year, one workshop is for both adults and children

Three 5-days workshops will be offered over the summer 2008.
At the end of each class, each young artist will bring home an oil painting on stretched canvas that she/he will produce through these 5 days.

Classes meet for 5 days from 9.00 AM to 3.00pm (an aftercare service is offered until 5.30pm).
Each day will be divided in 3 parts, morning session, lunch and nature observation, and afternoon session.

If you are interested in summer session or would like to be included in email updates, please email me and I will send you an update beginning of September.
